Course Copy Service
OIT now offers a Canvas course copy service to save you time when you are teaching the same course semester to semester. This entails copying the content and materials from one of your previous semester courses into the new semester.
How do I request Course Copy Service?
Please contact us at oit@law.gwu.edu to request a course copy and provide us with:
- the course number and section number, course name, semester of the course to be copied (e.g. 9999-10 Web Portal Law Fall 2022)
- the course number and section number and name of the current semester course to copy into (e.g. 9999-11 Web Portal Law)
- the specific selection of pages and content you want copied listed out from the "checklist" below. Choices include:
- "Meet Your Instructor(s)"
- "Course Overview"
- "Policies and Procedures"
- "Course Materials"
- Modules
- Assignments
- Discussion Topics
- Calendar Events
- Quizzes
- Question Banks
- Rubrics
We will copy your selected course content over from the previous semester that you provide and we will let you know when the copy is done; please allow for one business day.
After our service, you will be responsible for any reorganizing, updating of dates, and making sure your course site is set up as desired.
