Loan periods and fees

Loan Periods for GW Law Full-Time Faculty

GW Law faculty may borrow materials for the following periods:

General Collection One academic year Yes
Reserves 24 hours Yes
Bound Periodicals 14 days Yes
Interlibrary Loan Set by the lending institution Set by the lending institution
Consortium Loan Service 4 months, with due dates of January 31, May 31 and September 30 Yes (materials may not be overdue)

All items borrowed from the law library are subject to recall and must be returned within 7 days of receipt of the recall notice.  Recalled items borrowed through interlibrary loan must be returned immediately.

 

Loan Periods for GW Law Adjunct Faculty

GW Law Adjunct Faculty may borrow materials for the following periods:

Types of Material Loan Period Renewable (materials may not be overdue)
General Collection One semester Yes
Reserves 2 hours Yes
Bound Periodicals Not applicable Not applicable
Interlibrary Loan, with permission of the Director Set by the lending institution Set by the lending institution
Consortium Loan Service (CLS) 42 days 42 days, with a limit of 3 renewals

All items borrowed from the law library are subject to recall and must be returned within 7 days of receipt of the recall notice.  Recalled items borrowed through interlibrary loan must be returned immediately.

Use "my library account" to manage renewals for law library materials and CLS materials.
