We are here to provide information and assistance to the GW Law faculty and students.  We also encourage GW Law alumni and Friends of the Jacob Burns Law Library to use our services.  Please ask us if you have a question about legal research or about library services and operations.

Food is permitted only on Lower Level 1 (LL 1) in Burns and in the Burns Reading Room on the 2nd floor. Beverages are permitted throughout the library.

View your circulation record online by signing into your library account.  

The circulation desk can be reached at 202-994-6648.  During Spring 2024 operational hours patrons may check out or return items in person at the circulation desk. Books may also be returned by placing them in the book return bin located in the Burns Lobby at the library's first-floor entrance.  

In addition, returns may be shipped to the library using a tracking service like UPS, FedEx or Priority Mail.  Ship to:
