Food is permitted only on Lower Level 1 (LL 1) in Burns and in the Burns Reading Room on the 2nd floor. Beverages are permitted throughout the library.

The circulation desk can be reached at 202-994-6648. During Spring 2024 operational hours patrons may check out or return items in person at the circulation desk. Books may also be returned by placing them in the book return bin located in the Burns Lobby at the library's first-floor entrance.
