The Egolf patent collection, donated to the Law Library in 2016, included some amazing patent models that had been deposited with the U.S. Patent Office. Shown here is a model of a “new and improved pump for measuring liquids as they are drawn from vessels” patented by S.H. Wheeler of Dowagiac, Michigan, on June 5, 1866. It is Patent No. 55,433.
