CORE DRILLING
In 1994, the Law School Clinics moved from the basement of Stockton Hall to a townhouse at the corner of 20th and G Streets. The Law School gave the basement to the Library for office and student space. Two building walls (Burns and Stockton) had to be demolished to connect the space to the library. The contractors made core drillings to accomplish the demolition, and the Library staff retrieved part of one of the drillings to remember the noise, dust, and chaos of the process.
