BUTTON CELEBRATING 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF GW LAW
This button from 1915 probably was distributed for a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Law School held at Rauscher’s Ballroom on May 1, 1915. Charles Rauscher was a famous caterer who opened Maison Rauscher in 1892. The establishment, located at Connecticut Avenue and L Street, featured a large upstairs ballroom that was home to many Washington, D.C., social functions.
