About Science/Social Science Research
Some science and social science databases are "bibliographic" not "full text" databases. "Full text" databases allow searching of the entire text of an article or treatise, including footnotes.
"Bibliographic" databases provide "citations" to articles and other materials, sometimes with detailed summaries or abstracts. Links to "HTML" or "PDF" full text also may be provided.
Searchable content in a "bibliographic" database:
- article title
- author(s)
- journal title
- volume/issue of the journal where the article appears
- beginning/ending pages of article
- date of the journal issue
- abstract of the article (if available)
- links to full text (if available)
- topic/subject links
