Access Event Recordings

How Are Event Recordings Shared?

Event recordings using our automated classroom recording system are not automatically made accessible to GW Law faculty, staff, and students. Requests for the recordings need to be made to media@law.gwu.edu after the event occurs.

Please review the various ways we can share recording files with you to determine which will work best for your specific use case.

Media Space

GW Law faculty, staff, and students have the option for event recordings to be made available internally to everyone in the GW Law community through the Law School's media server.  Media Space provides closed captioning along with video transcripts and is accessible to anyone with a current GW Law account.

  1. Email media@law.gwu.edu to request the recording and specify you would like the recording shared via the Media Space. Please include event title and date in your email request.

  2. After confirmation from the Media Center, the file will be made accessible to anyone in the GW Law community in Media Space - media.law.gwu.edu

  3. After logging into Media Space, select the menu at the top left corner.

  4. In the dropdown menu, click on Law School Events.

  5. This will bring you to the GW Law Events page. If you have asked for your event recording to be shared in Media Space, the file will be located here. These files can not be viewed outside of the Media Space platform. Direct students, staff, or faculty to view the recording following these steps in their Media Space account.
