Government Agencies

  • Economic Research Service (ERS)
    Provides research and analysis in the following areas: agricultural economy, food and nutrition, food safety, and resources and environment.
     
  • National Agricultural Library
    One of five national libraries of the United States and houses one of the world's largest collections devoted to agriculture and its related sciences.
     
  • National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA)
    A federal agency within the USDA, NIFA was established by the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 (the 2008 Farm Bill); invests in and supports initiatives that ensure the long-term viability of agriculture, including the competitiveness of American agriculture, safety of the U.S. food supply, and sustainability of natural resources and the environment.

    Provides information relating to agriculture and the protection of human health and the environment.
