Information for New Students

Technology Requirements

The faculty has determined that all entering students are required to have a portable notebook or laptop computer that meets certain minimum core specifications in order to be enrolled.

  • A functioning 802.11 (WIFI) adapter
  • Compatibility with the current Extegrity Exam4 software: https://www.exam4.com/support/ 

    More information about Exam4 will be provided later in the semester.

Before You Arrive on Campus

  • Claim your GW Identity
  • Access your Law email and Google Apps
  • Familiarize yourself with GW IDs, systems, and research accounts
  • Access your MyLaw portal
  • Forward your GW email to your Law email
  • Join Eduroam for wireless network access

Wireless Network

GWireless (Ends Jan 2, 2025)

When you are on campus you can use the wireless configuration utility on your specific device to connect to the internet.  The name of the wireless network is GWireless.  Most devices will simply ask you to provide your UserID and password to connect.

 

NOTE: GWireless will be retired as of January 2, 2025. eduroam is currently available to use and will be the main wireless network going forward. GW IT: Which GW Network Should I Choose?
